4. Compare Reflective Bronze Films
Reflective Bronze window film
Why choose a Reflective Bronze Window Film?

1. Bronze appearance suits the style of many modern homes
2. These films block heat from entering a room and protect possessions against sun damage and fading.
3. Provide day-time privacy
4. Control glare and provide day time privacy
5. Reflective Bronze films reduce heat loss (eg winter) to save energy - low-E films achieve enhanced heat loss reduction
6. Bronze films with a VLT over 20% and less than 25% provide privacy without making a room "feel"  dark

Films available for both internal and external installation - films installed externally have a reduced life expectancy

5. Compare All External Films
Why choose an External Window Film?

External window films are exposed to the weather and deteriorate at about twice the rate as films installed internally. So why would you choose an external film?
  1. Where the window cannot be accessed internally an external grade of film may be installed - most manufacturers produce an external grade for their most popular solar films.
  2. Where a window is double glazed and film in installed on the internal glass surface, seal failure can occur if the space between the panes of glass overheats. It can be safer to install an external grade of film to block the heat before it enters the glazing system.
  3. Where there is a risk of thermal stress leading to glass breakage the installation of an external grade of film will reduce the risk of breakage by blocking the heat before entering the glazing system.
6. Compare All Ceramic Films
Why choose a Ceramic Window Film?

As shown in the performance tables, ceramic window films do not achieve the highest heat protection but they are often the least reflective. The main benefit of ceramic window films is they do not corrode and do not need to be edge sealed when exposed to salt laden air. Many metalised films, which provide the highest heat protection, require edge sealing with a clear silicone adhesive when installed within 15kn of salt water, which significantly increases the cost of the job.

6.0 Ceramic Solar Films Ceramic films do not corrode, which makes them suitable for installation near salt water

7. Compare All Low-E Films
Why choose a Low-E Window Film?

Low-E window films insulate the window to reduce the heat loss through the glass in winter. While all window films provide an insulation barrier against the cold air outside and reduce the heat loss through the glass by about 25%, low-E films create winter windows and reduce the heat loss through the glass by over 40%.

8. Compare Films for Skylites

Why choose a Window Film for Plastic surfaces?
Most window film will not adhere to a non-glass surface - the film will look great for 2-3 weeks and then peel off due to the off-gasses generated by polycarbonate and acrylic. A special window film is required for adherance to these surfaces.
